Rick Covert, is an audit partner at Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra, LLP. Rick brings more than 24 years experience advising clients in the private and non-profit sectors. His wealth of experience affords his varied client base a well-rounded approach to their financial needs.
His areas of industry expertise include automobile dealerships, construction, distribution, insurance, the manufacturing sectors, non-profit organizations, real estate, retail, and wholesale. Rick has particular expertise serving non-profits and 401 (k) audits.
Rick is also the Partner in charge of the firm's Non-Profit Practice.
Rick joined MBAF in 1981 as a staff accountant and was promoted to partner in 1988.
He has served on the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants' Committee on Practice Review, as well as the Committee on Accounting Principles and Auditing Standards.
Rick also served on the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants' Employee Benefit Plans Committee, and co-authored the "Audit and Accounting Guide: Audits of Employee Benefit Plans". Rick has unsurpassed knowledge of Employee Benefit Plans including 401 (k) audits and an excellent relationship with regulatory authorities.
A certified public accountant, Rick is a graduate of the University of Florida with a bachelor's of science in accounting.
