Hortensia Sampedro Hacker is Director of Marketing at Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra, LLP, one of the top 50 accounting firms in the nation, the largest Florida-based accounting firm in the state and fifth in the Atlantic Southeast.

Her responsibilities include brand strategy and management, public relations and advertising, practice development and niche marketing, prospecting and proposal development, Internet marketing and communications, community relations, sales and marketing training.

Hortensia brings to bear her broad industry experience to assist clients in finding the best accounting, auditing, tax and technology resources.

An international banker with the Chase Manhattan Bank, New York, for most of her career, Hortensia has over 20 years experience in banking and over 15 years with non-profits. Her responsibilities included sales and marketing, lending, credit, country and loan workouts, operations, human resources, systems support, and administration. Her clients have ranged from commercial (small and medium size businesses), to high net worth individuals, to corporate, institutional, international and sovereign relationships.

Hortensia is a member of the American Marketing Association, Association for Accounting Marketing, the Leading Edge Alliance – Marketing SIG. Hortensia is also the President of the Cintas Foundation, Board Member of the Carrollton Alumnae Council, Treasurer and Member of the Board of Governors of the Key Biscayne Yacht Club. Hortensia has also been involved with the University of Miami Alumni Association as Past Vice-President and Member and with the US Sailing Foundation as Past President and Board Member.

Hortensia has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who of American Women and received the Chase Manhattan Bank Presidential Award.

Hortensia earned an MBA in Finance from New York University and a BBA in Economics and Latin American Studies from the University of Miami. She has also done post graduate studies at the Harvard Graduate School of Business.
